Said goodbye to two lovely people the last three days, both taken before their time. Susan was a dear colleague who served as a mentor and peer reviewer, and advocated for my contract to be tenure-track. Liza played in the Mississippi Valley Orchestra and was just the most positive, kind person, and I was happy to be able to play violin with some orchestra friends at her heartbreaking funeral today. Love fiercely, my friends.
