Sitting in on an afternoon of interviews for reading positions for the school where I am a literacy coach, I was grateful to be on the other side of the table. And I was reminded how hard it is to interview, to sell yourself without arrogance, to convey your knowledge accurately in concise responses, to share a bit of your personality. None were really able to do this, but I'm hopeful about our decisions. I think I have my work cut out for me next year.
AYP numbers came out. They aren't public yet, but I got a sneak peek at the data. I knew our scores would be abysmal, but yikes. I definitely have my work cut out for me.
