July 27, Day 3

We slept in a bit the next day, especially since my credit card debacle happened quite late in the evening and lasted a while getting it all sorted out. We ate a leisurely breakfast and window-shopped a bit before headed out of Monemvasia. As cute as the town was, I think the one night was enough. Besides, we were pretty excited to be headed to an island new to all of us. We made it to Naopoli to take the ferry to Elefonisos Island, and had no idea the perfection that was in store, but the ferry ride gave us a good idea...

We had to drive around a bit to find our hotel, but luckily it is a small island, so it wasn't too hard. Once we got there, we threw down our bags, raced into our swimsuits, and headed to the beach. And man, was it stunning!

I've never been to a beach quite like it, where you could see to the bottom as far as you swam out. The water was warm enough that it was easy to walk right in, and the blue color was like nothing else. The island isn't very well known, so it isn't overrun with tourists. We were among the few non-Greek folks there. It was so amazing.

We were so glad we had another full day to spend at this beach. Because one afternoon wasn't nearly enough!!
