let's get it started

I'm an assistant professor.

This has been a very weird adjustment to make. I'm having a little trouble getting used to this new identity. As friends joke, I just need leather patches on my tweed jacket and a pipe and I'll be all set.

Though I've had some meetings and work, today begins new faculty workshops, the real start to my new position. I'm excited and nervous and ultimately really ready for a new adventure. Even if I feel like throwing up.
